the hotel's location made it super easy to walk to major attractions like the impressive Marienberg Fortress and the beautiful Court Gardens, both within a 20-minute stroll, allowing me to soak in the city’s atmosphere while exploring on foot.

The reception was closed at 16:00, and I had to deal with an automatic key dispenser—how quaint! My night was ruined by incessant noise from adjacent rooms. I expected red-carpet treatment, or at least a complimentary beverage for the inconvenience. alas, I woudl ve been better off sleeping on a park bench. Just couldn’t give a good review, sorry.

Now, about that shower in room 303—let's just say it was a bit of a trickle festival. Waiting ages for warm water and no mirror above the sink meant I was running back and forth to check my hair—what a quirky challenge!

Oh man, if you're a meat lover, you've got to try the smoked meat from Wirtshaus Lammle—it's an absolute game changer! Plus, the room was clean and cozy with a frige and kettle—total win!

The automatic check-in was a bit of a hot mess—no code email sent in time! I was left waiting outside at midnight, and the emergency phone went unanswered, but everything else somehow pulled through.

Checking in was a bit awkward due to the automated system since reception was closed before I arrived, and the conflicting hours on the signage were confusing. The bathroom was cramped and clearly overdue for an upgrade. the fixtures and overall maintenance didn't seem to match the state of the room. On top of that, the door locks were finicky and frustrating to operate, requiring assistance to gain access to my room.

Dortmunder Hof offers a cozy spot with a comfortable bed and easy access even outside reception hours. The new plumbing in the shower room surprised me positively, and the breakfast was enjoyable. However, I faced some issues. Reception closed well before my arrival, making check-in awkward. I had to rely on an automatic key system that didn’t work smoothly, and my room had a layer of dust upon arrival. The shower had weak water pressure, and finding warm water took too long. No toiletries were provided and a cupboard is sorely missed for a proper stay.

The hotel is nicely located in the city center which made it easy to explore and only a short walk from the train station. Check-in was seamless and the staff were very welcoming, ensuring a pleasant arrival experience. The room itself was larger than average, featuring a kettle, small fridge, and a safe which added to the convenience of my stay. I found the amenities to be fantastic and the overall cleanliness impressive.

The absence of breakfast options was a bit disappointing.

I had a comfortable stay, the shower had new plumbing, and the cozy bed made for great nights. However, the thin walls made it hard to sleep at times. Would return!
